Nov 19, 2009· Hi, I am looking at buying a 1972 72-31AA wheel loader with a 2 speed tranny. When started it ideled for 5 minutes and ATF started leaking out from the breather for the tranny. The owner claimed this happened once years ago and is caused by a bad hydraulic pump seal that allows hydraulic ATF to enter the tranny and causes an over flow.
