Using a bungee, you are far less likely to leave a diverter in the wrong position, leave a valve spool locked in detent, or otherwise create a situation where the log splitter is detached from the tractor and the hydraulic system is sending all the pump flow over the main relief valve.

Aug 25, 2008· I ended up ordering another cylinder from Northerntool for the dump. All my cylinders are the same 16" of stroke and are all 2.5" barrels and 1 3/8" rods. Seem to work very well. I put this loader on one of my two John 425 lawn tractors that already had hydraulic system all I did was added the proper hoses and fittings and the loader itself.
